My dream trip from Manali to leh finally saw light of the day last month. covered 1000kms on road from Manali to Leh and back in 7 days. wish I could stay for more days at Leh. saw some of the most amazing sights in my life and experienced absolute peace on the road. the back breaking drive was nothing when compared with the sheer brilliance of nature in front. this trip should be on the top 5 of the to do list in everyone's life.
Stayed at Cafe Ride Inn. amazing place with great hosts and great food. you could pluck those apples right out of your room window.
Stayed at Ibex Hotel. As Jispa doesn't have a lot of stay options compared to Keylong, people stop over at this hotel as its at the very beginning of the town. quite a run down place with low quality food. and the tariffs are quite high. they also charge you 10 bucks a min for a call you make from the receptionist's cell phone. now that's not great hospitality. I'd rather advise people to get into the town and get some decent Homestay arranged which would be better.
