How would it be if you are on the top of a mountain, on a clear night, no electricity, no cell phone tower, just you and the stars in the sky. That is triund.
Reached McleodGanj at sharp ten in the morning. International youth club, even the taxi drivers know where it is. Ten others, all were beginners like me. Young couples, group of collegues, and a loner like me. Rainy days, so we had to be extra careful. eight kilometer uphill is the task, three to six hours is the average time. We did it in six. A very accessible path and chai shops all along. Even one at the top. Quite a climb if you don't have prior experience. But enthusiasm can drive you. It drives me most of the times.
Reached the top at around five in the evening. Our camping site was in one corner, a fifteen minute walk. Secluded, no way back in the night. The sun slowly moving down, and we, having a sip of chai made by our guide in the base camp. Yes, it was the base camp for a four day trek to the Indira Pass. That evening I started writing my first book, for my lost love. I had to give up on the book eventually since she wan't coming back. As the light dimmed, I was not able to write anymore. The evening was easing and the clouds cleared its way to show up the darkness. Late, eight 'o' clock when it turned dark. I lied down on rocks. Lost in the depth of myself being reflected from the stars. I caught a shooting one too. My love for travel bloomed.
