5. Chiang Rai: It is a small but beautiful town in the Northern part of Thailand. It is really close to Myanmar and Laos. Since Thailand is known for the temples, the most famous temples here are The White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) and The Blue Temple. 6. Chiang Mai: is a mountainous city in Northern Thailand. Chiang Mai is really close to Vietnam and Myanmar. The old town of Chiang Mai displays a Cultural Heritage and has a religious focus.
