It was November the 1st, 2000, when the state of Madhya Pradesh was bifurcated into Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. A landlocked state, it borders Madhya Pradesh in northwest, Maharashtra in the west, Andhra Pradesh in the south, Orissa in the east, Jharkhand in the northeast and Uttar Pradesh in the north. One of the few states having surplus power, Chhattisgarh is also known as the "Rice Bowl" of India. of the most mineral-rich states in India, it houses cement, mining, steel, aluminium and power. Chhattisgarh is equally contributing to the education sector, with IIT, IIIT, AIIMS, among others.
This page is meant mainly to give a platform to the talents that have helped Chhattisgarh in arts, science, medicine and other fields. As a state not getting much attention from the mainstream society, despite having come up spectacularly in the last 20 years- both financially and culturally. This page will cater to finding such local talents which have been contributing to Chhattisgarh's growth and bringing them out to the world.
