Hey guys Im back for my second travel blog. This time I decided to travel solo to Tokyo, Japan. It was the first time I was going to travel Solo. It was a scary yet adventurous thought, as I never ever travelled alone in my entire life. But slowly the thought grew on me and things were comfortable in my stomach...hahaha..

Then I applied for my visa and booked tickets for a week's trip. Though later I regretted, I could have stayed for at-least 10 days. But thats okay. Next task was to find a cheapest hotel for me as per my limited budget. I started my search on AIRBNB. Guys I must tell you, it had the most cheapest and best options for rooms. The best part was the options were in the mid of Tokyo city and that ways I got connected with the local community and could explore the city from within.

Finally I found a Hotel 9 HOURS (yes guys thats the name of the hotel) in Shin Okubo, Tokyo and you wont believe the rent was only Rs 2300/- per day including breakfast. The hotel was specifically designed for solo travellers. It was amazing and I felt as if I got time travelled to a futuristic hotel with capsule beds, a wide view common room for travellers and minimal clean structured bathrooms. I was already in the future.

Now everything was set for me to experience my first ever solo trip.

TRAVEL MODE TIPS :-

1. I landed at Narita International Airport, Japan. From their I took Narita Express Train, which directly goes to Shinjuku and next station was Shin Okubo. Guys best is to buy a return ticket for the Narita Express as it is cheaper. I bought the round trip ticket for 4000 YEN, else it was 6,380 YEN for one side.

2. The easiest and cheapest way to travel throughout Japan is through Metro. As it is all interconnected within Japan. I bought a metro card and got it recharged for 500 YEN. You guys have to carefully follow the coloured lines to reach your destination, as the map can be a bit confusing, but people are quite helpful and warm. They will help you through actions as language could be a challenge.

ITINERARY TIPS :

I had detailed itinerary prepared for each day.

1. DAY 1 : I landed Tokyo in afternoon and reached hotel around 6 pm. I planned to capture and visit the famous SHIBUYA crossing in evening (remember from Fast and Furious : Tokyo Drift Movie). It was 4 stations away from my hotel in Shinjuku. Also I visited the night market in Shibuya. It was a mind-blowing experience as I saw so many people at the crossing and it was interesting to watch in every 2 mins same amount of people cross the red light. It was fun to watch so many lights with so many merchandise stores, it was as if i am looking at mini pahar gangh from Delhi, only cleaner and bigger..lol.. Have a look at some amazing pictures i clicked from the crossing and the market. #longshuttershots

Day 2

2. DAY 2 : I planned to visit Shinanomachi on my day 2, which is 4 stations away from Shin Okubo. I visited SGI headquarters and explored the streets of small town of Shinanomachi. It was a completely different tokyo from what I had visited a day before. The town had huge buildings, great structures and skyscrapers.
