Amritsar Temple

Guru Ram Das who was forth guru of Sikhs established Amritsar temple, also called as Golden temple in 1577. This is the spiritual capital for Sikhs, and attracts pilgrims from all over the world to come and pay homage to the Sikh Gurus. The main temple looks astonishing in night when it lit up, with its imposing pure gold dome illuminated. The complex remains open for almost 20 hours, when you visit the temple, make sure your head is covered, and you remove shoes as well.
