Our Trans Himalayan Jeep Safari begins. Arrive at Manali and we will start our journey towards our first stop at Jispa via famous Rohtang Pass. Enroute we will stop for breakfast and freshn'up. Stay overnight in Swiss Camps at Jispa.
28th Aug: Thursday – Jispa to Leh
Start early for Leh as today is going to be a tough driving day We leave early in the morning for Leh, through Nakeela and Lachung la Pass 16,617 ft. Lunch at Pang. After Lunch we drive to Leh passing through Skyangchu Thang (Biggest and highest plateau on Earth on Stretch of 42 Kms) or Moorie Palines or Chuha ground, Tanglang La 17,585ft and the Indus Valley. Reach Leh and rest in Family run guest houses!!
29th Aug: Friday – Leh
Today will be a Rest day in Leh and we will explore local market in the evening and have a sumptuous dinner at one the many famous restaurants in Leh
30th Aug: Saturday – Leh to Nubra Valley
Today we will drive to Nubra Valley through the Khardungla- Pass (the highest motorable road in the world at 18,390 ft). Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the Valley of Flowers. It is situated to the North of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. We explore this beautiful valley and the villages and monasteries surrounding it. Overnight stay at beautiful Ladakhi Homestay and its your chance to live like the locals!!
31st Aug: Sunday – Nubra Valley to Leh
After the ladakhi breakfast its time to taste the famous Ladakhi Butter tea, we visit the Diskit Monastery in the Nubra valley. Later we drive back to Leh. In the evening you can either rest or take a walk to the local market and Shanti Stupa. Overnight stay at Guest house in Leh.
1st Sep: Monday – Leh to Pangong Lake
We will start early and stop for breakfast at Kharu and then drive towards Pangong Lake through Changla pass (5486 Mtrs). Pangong lake, situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m) is a long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometres at its widest point and over 130km long . The picturesque lake is bisected by the international border between India and China. We spend the night on the shores of this beautiful Lake with the Milky Way to keep us company. Overnight stay at Wooden Cottages beside the Lake in picturesque Spangmik Village.
2nd Sep: Tuesday – Pangong Lake to Leh
Today we drive back to Leh enroute visiting Thiksey Monastery (An impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village) Overnight stay in Leh.
3rd Sep: Wednesday
Take a taxi to Airpor to catch your flight.
