Travel Dreamer- Start of the Dairies

Tripoto

Its 5 A.M. in the morning or it could be 6, I don’t know, I don’t want to wake up, people say I am dreamer so I want to dream, not the same kind of dream that comes by itself, its the kind of dream I want to really live, because in that dream I am in that place, where life gets its true meaning, which teaches me that it will go on, that there could be something’s which you will never get no matter how hard you try and something’s which you get as a surprise and which makes you go on and the current place that I am in teaches me exactly that.

Its Rishikesh! Ganga Ji(as its just not a river for us) is flowing in its full high tide(my rafting guide taught me what a high tide and low tide means). Its probably 4:30 A.M. in the morning, as I lay in my bed, snuggled under my blanket(yes its that cold in the month of June), watch the sky change it colors, tides flow, the corners of the sea trying to meet each other, hear the temple bells, the sound of Ganga Ji, its rightly said  that if you come to Rishikesh, let go and go with the flow of the Ganges!!

I think its about 7 now, the next place which my dreams takes me are to the desserts  of Pushkar!! For where else in the world you will be siting on the camel(Literally!!), wearing Rajasthani Pagadi, dancing to the rajasthani folk songs, having ganne(sugarcan) juice and all this amidst a dessert and with a  welcoming smile of Rajasthan, saying, Kesariya Balam,Padharo Maaro Desh!!(I even wore kesariya)

I think its about 7:30 now and with all these dreams of dancing and eating, my Punjabi instinct takes me Amritsar, to the Sachha Khand, the Golden Temple and to the Wagah Border. For  I never thought, I will be holding our National Flag in one hand and running towards the LOC, but then as I wrote earlier, life always surprise us!! Approx  2000 people both from India and Pakistan, holding their National Flags high, cheering for the Country, the Indian Army ,the Generals, the VIP, the persons who you don’t even know existed and then you find yourself dancing on Aisa Desh Hai mera(Yes, my SRK is always  with me!!) with your fellow country people, its rightly said if not anything, India will amaze you like no place else.

I think its 8 now, I am tired, yes even in my dreams and I want a place to sit, to calm down and to thank about the senses, the feelings, the thoughts and the words that I am writing now, and there could be no other place than sitting on the marine drive, watching the sea in the color it never has of its own, of which we think it is, of which people had made of it, BLACK!!

Its 8:30 by now, I have dreamt enough and as I open my eyes I see the the yellow walls of my room, the balloons that are still hanging there after my friends decorated it on my birthday (I turned 26 and age is not just a number :-P) and Ellie Goulding’s Love me like you do is playing in the background with my favorite lines:

You’re the light, you’re the night
You’re the color of my blood
You’re the cure, you’re the pain
You’re the only thing I wanna touch
Never knew that it could mean so much, so much

For me its all about travelling, Kyoki ye raasta bohot accha hai!!
