Leaving behind the comfort zone and heading to an unknown destination is a feeling each one of us love to experience or would love to. Travelling solo is an experience filled with self-discovery and deep understanding of the world. While my first solo trip required a bit of a push and mental preparation, I am pretty comfortable with travelling alone to any destination now. If you have never hit the road all alone and are held back by those loads of questions about comfort, safety and the risk involved, it’s time to keep those questions aside and experience the beauty of venturing solo without thinking too much.
Go with the flow
Travelling alone has a lot of perks, the best one being the understanding and learning. Every time I have travelled alone, I have restored my soul with a better understanding of life and the people around me. My recent trip to Goa, let me understand what “go with the flow” actually means. Experiencing the rich adventure and learning as it comes without stressing much on what was planned. And trust me no matter how much you plan your solo trip, it will get you a unique experience you had never thought about.
You are never alone
Solo travelling will increase your true friend list. The sad part about these friendships are that they last for a short duration but are very intense. And trust me, you’ll meet some awesome people while travelling. Talk to them, understand their life and share your precious moments.
It’s your journey
Going solo is a happiness that starts right from the time you start the journey. And each time, it brings in new and special experiences. Do it the way you want to do it, for this journey is for your love to explore and be happy.
If the thought of travelling alone has hit you, just go for it. It requires no courage or major planning. Just pack your bags, hit the road and experience the walk of life as a wanderer that leads to self-discovery.
