Mcloedganj:

Its a town situated in the Kangra district just above Dharamshala. The weather is very Pleasant and one can visit at any time of year. Its is know for good cafes and friendly people. You can get all kind of cuisine and mouth water food at many places. The best of them is Trek & Dine in Dharamkot. These cafes are full of Israeli people. It is know as the door to Dhauldar Snowline which is highest in Himachal.

Triund:

If there is just one thing you can do while at Mcleodganj, let it be the trek to Triund and/or upto the snowline!

A moderately difficult trek that can be completed in 4-6 hours, its doable by everybody. To make things slightly easier, you could arrange a drop off either to Dharamkot or further upto Galludevi temple. Highly recommend camping overnight. Being under the blanket of a starry sky with the Dhauladhars shimmering alongside for company is an experience pretty difficult to beat! You also get to enjoy the Himalayas at sunset, at midnight and sunrise, and believe me, each of these is so different and magical in its own way. Also, because the weather changes rather quickly, it might be so, that there is thick mist when you reach the top, meaning no views, which can be quite a sad thing after all that effort getting to the top! A bowl of Maggi never tasted as delicious. You can carry your own booze and enjoy it.

Shiva Cafe:

This cafe is known for its location. It is located right on the Bhagsu Waterfall. Its half hour trek from Bhagsu temple. The distance is small but the way is very steep. One will experience the breathtaking views of the Mcloedganj.

Dharamkot village is a beautiful and very peaceful village, natural beauty not told in words only see and feel. It is located a few kms above Mcloedganj. People who live there are also very soft heart, cooperative and helpful. We friends spent some days there trekking and enjoyed nature's gift. There are many good cafes to explore there.
