First Time ever - i agreed to the common saying - unplanned trips are the best! We decided to go here at 8 pm on 5th Oct and we were in the Maharashtra Govt Night Express bus by 10.30.

Day 1

It was a day of Kojagiri(sharad) pournima and so it was THE moon that night. Roads in Konkan area are of high mountains (ghats) and the the moon light was beautifully bright! white fog spread in the valleys in ghats and visible just because of moon light throughout the journey to normal eyes! I did not take a picture as i do not think that beauty could have captured in a photo!

Day 2

Next day by 11 , we went to the beach. Luckily It was not too sunny .we rented a bike from Narendra watch center, near bus stand and started our journey by 3. We first went to Gopalgad, it's a private property now, sometimes it's closed. Then by 4.15 we came at Anjanvel Lighthouse! The best Part of trip! In your 180 degree view you can see a river meeting a sea and the difference in the color of water i.e. grayish blue of sea and reddish of khadi can be easily spotted from the light house. the view from here is breath taking!

Day 3

The scene kept to my eyes for the next whole night! next day we got ready by 10.30 and left for Dhopavay, from there we had to catch the ferry for Dabhol - Dapoli. drive from Dabhol to Dapoli is 25 km. be aware there are very few petrol pumps nearby. From Dapoli we went to Harne beach fort . But It was a mix sunny cloudy day so they said boats won't be taking us to the sea fort as it's not safe. we roamed around the part of fort where light house is there and came back to Anjanvel's light house by 4.

As i said, i am absolutely in love with the serenity of this place, we just sat there looking at the waves for 1/2 hour! when it started to pile up with group visits, we got up to leave. I later to came to know, that the area that can be seen from the top, bale killa sort of , has kept open to public visit and the first left will take you there. You will get the same view - a little less high and freedom to sit as long as you want as most of the people don't know or even think that it is allowed to visit here. I am attaching video, panorama, photos of this place to make you realize the beauty!

By the sunset , we came back to Guhagar beach, it is always very less crowded and it's a stretch of 5.5 kms longest in Konkan region. Beautiful golden sand beach ! choupati here provides tasty chat! must try!
