This is Kotte Dinesh, from Tirupati. I have owned searching about the destination from sep 27 morning like yercaud, coorg, sringeri, tiruvannamalai and more. At last in the night i thought it would be better if I open a tourism map of Tamilnadu and search for a destination. Which lead me to a destination which I never heard of i.e., YELAGIRI which is approx 200kms from Tirupati.
Googled about the place and tried booking a hotel as this was a weekend the hotels were highly priced. Tried searching through OYO, booking.com and at last in Goibibo I came cross a tent stay i.e., Stellar Caves which was priced at 400/- per tent. They have a common rest room and they provide a tent and different sport activities, camp fire, barbecue. Booked this property.
Very excited now as I have to start for my never visited and to an unknown destination. Started from Tirupati at around 9 in the morning taken the road to vellore from there to Ambur and to Yelagiri. The best part of the trip is you can have a full view of the hill in front you, I am posting the same. Reached around 3, as I was driving constantly at 80km speed.
There are not much places to see in Yelagiri hills but the temperature and the drive is good. You can go to Swamimalai hills trek which I have planned for tomorrow morning. They are many adventure games for kids mostly which I am not interested.
Reached Stellar cave at 5pm as my phone has got switched off came here to charge it. The person here Mr.Tiru was so helpful, he has welcomed me even before the opening time. The hospitality was superb. He has arranged an artificial cave in the area which is of 100meters, a big projector for movies, bon fire and much more. He said that he will take me to some exotic places but due to low light we have cancelled. May be I have to try for next day.
Visited a man made cave which was truly awesome. Mr.Tiru has taken utmost care to build this. Attached the photos of the same.
Out of the artificial adventure games, rides, bird parks I found this place superb.
