Visualize this: The massive snowclad Dhauladhar Himalayas on one side, the vast Kangra Valley on the other. In the mornings, the sun kisses the Himalayan peaks and the snow glows orange. In the night, gaze at the milky way, as the silence of millions of stars above the Himalayas hums you to sleep. The easy four hour Triund trek takes you 9500 feet high, to a large green pasture that gets blanketed by snow in the winters, and offers panoramic views: of the mighty Dhauladhar Himalayas; and the encompassing valleys of Mcleodganj, Bhagsu, Dharamsala and Kangra.

Itinerary

Day0 - Leave Delhi on 14th April at 5 pm. Reach Mcleodganj at 8 am

Day 1

Day 1 - Reach the hotel, freshen up and rest for 2 hours. After breakfast, we trek up 2900 meters, all the way to the stunning Triund.

Trek from Mcleodganj to Triund (2875 metres / 9 KM / 4 Hours)

The Triund Trek trail starts from the colourful market of Mcleodganj and passes through the quaint village of Dharamkot. From Galu Devi Temple, the Triund trek trail takes you through the refreshing forests of Oak, Rhododendron and Deodhar. The first few kilometres of this trek is graded as easy and the last stretch is a bit of a push- but for the delicious views that await us, it’s completely worth it.

Awaiting you at the summit of this Triund trek, is a large green (or white if it has snowed!) pasture that offers panoramic views of the Bhagsu village, Mcleodganj, the Dharamsala valley and distant views of Shivalik hills and the plains of Kangra valley.

Here, we live our dreams of camping in the wilderness of the Himalayas. We set camp with our warm and waterproof tents at strategic position where you can have the best overnight views and at the same time, you are least affected by the mountain wind. Eat delicious and freshly cooked food as you sing to the warm crackling music of the bonfire and create memories that would last a lifetime.

Day 2

Day 2 Trek from Triund to Mcleodganj (6 KM / 3 Hours)

On the second day of the Triund Trek, wake up to this sight: The massive Dhauladhars on one side, the vast Kangra Valley on the other. As the sun kisses the Himalayan peaks, the snow glows orange and we bet that’s surely one of the best good-mornings you’ve ever had.

After breakfast at 10,000+ feet, start walking back to Mcleodganj. However this time, weather permitting, you will take a hidden path – a trail not many trekkers are aware, and will pass through a quaint patch of wilderness, before you descend into Bhagsu, explore the beautiful waterfall and then come down to Mcleodganj.

Reach the Hotel by 1 pm. Have Lunch and rest at the hotel, celebrate your feat with a delicious cup of Kashmiri green tea. Capture some last-minute selfies with Moon Peak in the background, pack your bags and memories and take a bus / get dropped at the railway station and head home with memories for a lifetime.

Day 3

Reach Delhi by 6 am .
