Day 1

Munnar is a famous hill station, located 280 kilometers from the state capital of Trivandrum in Kerala. Famous for its natural beauty and magnificent hills, it is truly a great place to visit in India. I visited Munnar with my girlfriend in November 2018 and had spend two days there. Munnar has been an exciting place. Munnar was great to be honest. We reached Munnar on a Sunday morning. It was chilly and instantly we regretted not having brought enough warm clothes with us. After having a quick breakfast we set off to explore the town of Munnar. On the first day we rented a local auto and covered the spots in Mattupetty and Cochin directions.

We covered the following places in Mattupetty direction first:

1. Munnar View Point.

2. Tea Gardens.

3. Elephant Arrival Spot.

4. Mattupetty Dam.

5. Photo Shoot Point.

6. Honey Bee Nest.

After that we traveled in Cochin direction, covering the following places:

1. Attukad Waterfalls.

2. Spice Garden.

3. Live Chocolate Factory.

4. Kallar Waterfalls.

5. Pothamedu View Point.

6. Blossom Park.

Day 2

7. Sengulam Dam Boating.

The next day we started earlier since we had a bus to catch in the evening. So after breakfast we contacted the same driver and went towards the Coimbatore direction. On that day we visited the following places:

1. Green Valley View.

2. Eravikulam National Park. It is a protected wildlife park in Munnar. Famous for being the home to the Nilgiri Tahrs, Eravikulam National Park is situated on the hills and it provides an amazing view of the surrounding hill ranges.

3. Thoovanam Waterfalls.

4. Nyayamakad Waterfalls.

5. Tea Museum.

6. Sandalwood Forest.

7. Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary.

8. Sugarcane Factory.

Munnar had been great! If the picturesque view Munnar provided made it a pleasant stay, my company made it all the more exciting! We couldn’t stay for more than two days, but trust me, we both seriously wanted to stay there; spend a few more days traveling. If I can, I will surely go back to Munnar and relive those days again.
