Since my early childhood I'm listening -"Beta we have been to Udaipur when you were so small" but I can never recall whether I have seriously traveled Udaipur or not? No any photo of that childhood memory so I was always fascinated and mesmerized by Udaipur's name. I always wanted to travel this Beautiful City.
The day finally came when my younger sister suggested to travel Udaipur on my coming Birthday on 29 july to celebrate it in royal way and I was so excited and thrilled :)
we fixed 4 days travel plan and Started searching Hotel to stay and Finally our eyes fixed on The Oberoi Udaivilas which is so Beautiful and I was fascinated by this from the time Travel knowledge bug bitten me{have seen it's beauty in Ye Zawani Hai Deewani movie too :) } so we booked Hotel Oberoi Udaivilas online and booked Jaipur to Udaipur Journey tickets. :) Yuppy :) I am so excited.
Finally on 27th night we(Mom,My Younger sweet sister and me of-course) started our Journey from Jaipur and reached our beautiful destination Udaipur early morning 28th july.
we reached hotel by viewing Beautiful Lakes of Udaipur in this small journey to Udaivilas and they welcomed us amazingly. Udaivilas was so huge, so Beautiful and my till Life's biggest expenditure on any Hotel ;) ha ha
I was mesmerized by beauty of this hotel and then when I entered in room and finally Bathroom. everything was just wow. beautiful view from my room's balcony.
we started getting ready,then i enjoyed swimming in cool weather meanwhile i slipped on floor and my foots were injured badly :( in spite of all pain how could i go my udaipur journey in vain :) after all I am a traveler by heart by the way so I know how to overcome anything. had first aid and took pain reliever medicines :( then we had a quick tour of hotel and after having Lunch outside we started our journey by Pre booked Car.
on our 1st day we didn't have much time so we did sighteseeing of Lake Pichola and lake Fateh Sagar.
in evening my pain in legs was intolerable so we had dinner and came back hotel and I was literally in bad shape seriously. :( without wheelchair i couldn't walk even :( anyway hotel staff was very helpful, they did whatever best they could as per my requirement and even they make a lepa as per my mother's ayurvedic lepam's receipe ;)
Next morning I got up as a Birthday girl :) Yuppy :) I was celebrating my birthday like I have never celebrated ;) Hotel manager arranged a birthday cake and Beautiful red roses bouquet with lots of best wishes and my 2 best near ones with me :)
we had our breakfast and then went to see EkLingi temple of Lord Shiva and later Shrinath Temple of lord Vishnu. The way was so green and we thoroughly enjoyed our journey. we reached Ek lingi ji temple at around 4:45 pm. and darshan got started by standing in Que after 5:15 pm. there was big police protection and we had to kept our mobile phones,camera and purse everything in lockers :( due to security reasons.
Ek lingi temple was so beautifully build,we were just mesmerized by it's beautiful architecture Then we moved to our next destination Shri nath temple.
we reached on 6:30 pm to shri nath temple which is situated in rajsamand district around 100 km away from udaipur. there was huge crowd 1000s of people and no space to sit or even stand. finally after so much chaos and waves of people inside the temple and patience of us(others too) we could do darshan at around 8 pm then after dinner we returned hotel very exhausted and slept.
next day 30th July we traveled Kumbhalgarh fort and Ranakpur Jain temple.
1st we reached Kumbhalgarh fort which was around 100 km from Udaipur it was so huge fort and Guys you need to give at least 5 hours to travel this fort properly. Because we had to reach ranakpur jain temple before 5 pm exactly(It's closing time at 5 pm) so we toured Kumbhalgarh in hurry.But seriously this fort is so amazingly built and has huge beautiful architecture, so huge walls.This fort is a Unesco world heritage monument and it's walls are world's 2nd largest walls after china's great wall . lot's of scope of photography here ;) then we reached Ranakpur jain temple and it was so huge and looked amazing,built by white marble stone By Jain religion followers. after this tiring but amazingly exciting journey we reached hotel by diner.
on our last day 31st july we traveled Udaipur city. we reached city palace which was so beautiful and so big. guys you need good time to see this beauty and it is situated near lake Fateh sagar. Later we took a boat ride in lake. after boat ride we went to take a rope way ride to karni mata temple on top of hill. then we visited Jagdish Temple (Lord Vishnu Temple), Saheliyon ki baadi (queens used to roam in this garden with their Friend),Moti Magri(monument of great king of mewar Maharana Pratap and his Faithful Hoarse). after having dinner we reached railway station to start our train journey and to say bye bye Udaipur.
