One of the oldest and most iconic bakeries in Pune, it has staunch followers till date. It’s situated at the Deccan Gymkhana on the FC Road and serves insanely delectable North Indian food and fast food. The Bun maskaa Paav, Anda biryani, Chicken masala and Caramel custard served by this restaurant has become cult dishes of this joint. Every dish of this restaurant is special. In short-"Light on pocket, good quality, over all a great restaurant"

Pagdandi. An out of the box idea, a unique name and an offbeat place is what Pagdandi is.It's so cozy, quite and homely that one feels like sitting here for hours and relaxing oneself. Zooop.Step back in time at this remarkable restaurant where it isn't really about the food - it is about soaking in the chaos, feeling lost in the canopied balcony , gaping at large ceilings and biting into a slice of history. Said to be one of the oldest joint in Pune this place is perfect for a quick bite and takeaway and sudden refuge from the madness of corporate life. Sandwiches - That's the flagship of the place. Irresistible sandwiches the place has. Macaroni Cheese, Macaroni Chicken, Chicken Roll, Grilled Cheese Sandwich and Chocolate Fudge are also pretty good. This is a wonderful place to hang out with your friends, sitting in the balcony with its archaic ceiling and the busy bustling city below you.

If you like non vegetarian food , this place is heaven for you. This is one of the most amazing place where you can get great kababs. Grilled items are very good. Gravy items like rogan josh have some Kashmiri touch, which is quite good. All gravies have different yummy taste.Off all the things I have mentioned the best thing to have is chicken kati kebab mixed with egg and chicken masala . On Sundays this place gets little crowded and one has to wait for 15-20 minutes to get their orders. For vegetarians, its not that great though. I hope one day they will serve good paneer rools and other veg stuffs.

There are places where you go once and then there are places where you go again and again. If you are sucker for south Indian food, this place should be in your list. They serve tasty Sambhar and Rasam, their Filter coffee is amazing too. The idlis they serve are soft and are generally served totally soaked in Sambhar, giving it a great flavor when combined with the Ghee. One must must try their filter coffee and Vadapao. This amazing place is famous for its landmark Vadapaos and South indian food. All in All a great place to go with great food, exceptional service and not heavy on the pocket either.

If you are in Pune, you have to have "The Mastani". Yeah, it may sound creepy, but Mastani tastes amazing. Sujata Mastani serves some fabulously flavored shakes in many locations in Pune city. Prices are decent for the quantity they serve. One must try mango mastani and sitaphal mastani of this place as taste is - yummm. Its thick, its creamy, its sweet and it is absolutely mouthwatering!

I have been to Rajdhanis, Choki dhani, Nakhrali Dhani, Bhagat Tarachands and alot of places which serves Rajisthani Food, but Sukanta is typically better than all of them. Its Rajisthani to the Core !!I had heard a lot about this place for its food and service and had thought how different can it be from above mentioned usual Rajasthani Thali restaurants! The answer is the food!!Everything in Sukanta is nuanced and very different, the waiters, the chairs, the wall carvings and the way they serve. The service is very fast and servers are polite and respectful. They start with serving khus sharbat.. exhilarating!! Moved on to daal bhati/rotis and servings of four sabzis - bhindi, paneer, gatte ki sabzi and spinach......and list goes on... and and and If you are a foody and if you sit along with Sukanta's thali, you may fall in love with this place, this city, this world.
