Alappuzha – Described as the "Venice of the East" by Lord Curzon.
Is there any other place in India more gifted than Alappuzha? I doubt it, mainly because, the place is immensely full of stunning “Mother Nature”. I personally felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery. The skies, trees, water and the greenery will drown you completely. Witnessing lush green water with swirling coconut trees in the back drop of a clear bluish sky is a rare phenomenon. That phenomenon is called as Alleppey alias Alappuzha. You literally feel that heaven is on earth.
