Heritage Bus Tour

Touring the place can be a good way to start. This will take around 2.5 hours. It is also the best way to learn its history since it comes with a tour guide that will help bring you to Armidale's past. So check out the Booloominbah Mansion, heritage homes, magnificent churches, and wonderful gardens.

Visit Petersons Winery

If you love wine then visit this place. This will only take you 5 minutes' drive from the main town. It will lead you to a picturesque driveway which will direct you for tasting at the cellar door. This area is a refurbished stable overlooking the refreshing garden with tables and chairs under shady trees and a vast space that kids can run around.

Try Tourist Drive 19

This is an 86 km ride which will take a half day drive; a loop travel starting from Armidale and going back to the same place. The journey starts from Uralla. On the way, make a stopover at Trina's Café for a cup of coffee then enjoy the scenic countryside beauty during the ride. When you arrive at Gostwyck, visit Gostwyck Chapel. Also check out the 200 elm trees avenue. You will also enjoy watching its typical New England farming view as you travel to Dangars Gorge. The latter was formed for more than a million years. You can walk to the Gorge and choose among its three different pathways.

Enjoy their delectable foods

You can't leave Armidale without visiting Prue& Olive Cafe. They offer savory food and high quality coffee. Free coffee can also be yours if you happen to be selected as their "name for the day". You'll know you have been chosen by checking their blackboard. If you have kids, they will surely love their pies, pizzas and sourdough breads.

Check out their falls

You can visit Waterfall Way. This will take around 191 km touring starting from Armidale to Coffs Harbour by its coast. Experience a picturesque drive. After all, it won't be called "Waterfall Way without any reason. You may also opt to visit Wollomombi Gorge and Falls. It will only take you 35 minutes ride from Armidale. This is NSW's highest waterfalls, plunging to 220 m over the valley and cliifs. Just visit it when there has been a decent rain to appreciate its beauty more.
