Walking in Ooty

Majority of people, I have met who have stayed a part of their life in Chennai, have absolutely hated it.I on the contrary believe that is an amazing city, which offers you a million options for a quick weekend getaway. One such place is the very famous, Ooty which is known as the queen of hill stations. I remember last year, I just wanted to run away from the hum drum of the stressful life I was leading. I believe that Ooty came as a savior at that time.

Ooty is easily accessible both by rail as well as road from both Chennai and Bengaluru. The first thing you notice about this quaint little town is its beautiful silence. I stayed in the Fern Hill resort whose panoramic views kept me glued to my windowsill. I decided to spend my day doing the usual sightseeing and saving the next day for some exploring. I started my day by taking a walk through the lush tea gardens. Botanical garden and rose garden are really overhyped and I will advise you all to only have a look around if you have time to spare.

The best part of the entire trip was the journey to Connor which had some beautiful ethereal views. Don't miss that !!
