Warangal Fort built by the Kakatiya Queen Rudramadevi in 12th century is located in the Warangal District of Telangana. The Fort is accessible by Auto from Warangal station and is around 4 km from Station. There are 2 temples in this Fort premises out of which one is on the monolithic rock. The steps taking to this temple are carved in the rock itself. The other temple is on the ground near Fort. As per the current structures available in this premises it is clear that the Fort once had Four similar entrances in all four directions. All the structures are made in black rock and they are ornamented in a way that it's difficult to ignore the architecture.
Just few kms away from Fort is the Thousand pillar Temple. This temple was built in 11th century by the Kakatiya dynasty. The architecture of the temple is worth watching.
