Delhi to rishikesh 245 kms every one starts early to reach well in time..we too started at 5 am..the roads were empty initially but as soon as we reached rorkee it was chaos all around traffic made sure we reached haridwar after 11 ..haridwar to rishikesh is some 40 kms upto our resort in shivpuri..the ride was fun till we reached tapovan ..again traffic once we crossed it ,drove like a racer to reach by 1:30..a journey of 5 n half hours completed in 8 n half hours coz we all want to use our weekends to holiday,which is mostly spent on roads
The stay was comfortable,good food,clean n cold swimming pool ,mountains all around
Rafting was fun made the tour worth it..no wonder ppl travel 250 kms only for rafting.once u complete rafting u feel u have achieved something.. Ur fears go nosediving
Rishikesh should be visited only during weekdays if u want to enjoy..else u will be stuck up in ur car
