Jaisalmer fort is the only living fort and undoubtedly the most lively as well. Here, we can keep strolling through forever and still the place will not fail to charm with a colorful tapestry unfolding on the monotones of golden fort stones. But, but and but, the stroll will make you tired every now and then. And when tired, munching is a must. So here is list of the places where you can stop by to have a leisurely time before starting the hustle again:-
Jaisal Italy: The interior of this place is very interesting. You can be seated indoor or bask in the sun outdoors. We tried Pizza, Russian salad and even Veg thali at this place. Everything was good.
Little Tibet: This place is near the cannon point and located so that the roof top gives you a perfect view. Momos are must try when we are talking of Tibet.
Chandan Shree Restaurant: This was our go to place for hearty and economical meals at the end of a tired day. The food is good and budget friendly. This is an the entrance of fort at the main square and has one more branch also.
Kuku's Coffee shop: They serves a variety of coffees. We had a hot chocolate cappuccino warming our cold fingers and watching the lit and shining Jaisalmer in the view beneath.
Other than this, there are some street food delicacies that one should definitely have and preferably near the main square. Below is my must try list:
#Hinglaj Dal Pakwan - Legendary
#Poha - Khata Meetha Indori style
#Malai Ghewar - Sweet and savoury
#Rabdi Milk - To end the day
#Dhokla - Original fluff
#Mirchi Wada - Teekha and spicy
