Day 1

They were the by far most happening and lively 3 days of this year(2019). We started from Chandigarh. I was with a "friend" (if you know what i mean). The two of us took a bus, started our journey at 6 in the morning. We reached Dharamshala at around 3 pm(i know long journey, trust me it was worth it). We booked a hotel room....boring? Alright I'll just skip the details.
After a much needed nap. We took a cab for McLeod Ganj, ₹200 from Dharamshala to McLeod Ganj.

The cold breeze striking your face in the month of June, the North Indians can feel it. Right?
All the fatigue faded just then. I'll skip the details because i believe this is something one should feel and not just read about.
All you should know is that the place is worth visiting.
Monks, monasteries, good food, cafés... 💜

Take care of my soul for it travels to you more than it resides in me.

Day 2

We checked out at 6 in the morning and the hotel cost us ₹1600/- (1300 was for the room and other 300 for soft drinks water and the little lunch that we had!
Now, it got more interesting as we were heading for the Kareri Lake Trek. There joined us another friend (Himanshu Guleria) from Kangra, Himachal Pradesh.
He came on his Karizmaaa bike and i know it was not safe and should have avoided but...we went tripling from Dharamshala to Kareri Village anyway.
Nice, safe road. Took us about hour and a half to reach there. The weather was chilling. In the hot summer what more you can ask for?
I must add.....this trip wouldn't have possible if it wasn't for HER🌈. I owe this to HER.
So, we reached the point from where the Kareri Lake Trek starts and guess what...it started raining 🤦‍♂️ sucks right. We sat there only had tea and were having second thoughts. Believe me, we were about to drop it but i knew it in my heart that this is not going to happen anytime soon so no matter what we got to do this. We waited for almost an hour for the rain to stop and it did. But the clouds and the cold breeze was telling us that this is a bad idea. But who cares, we baught that one time use raincoats and started the trek. It is a trek alongside a river.
It's a 15 km trek and this was my first time. (and if i can do it you can too)
We walked for an hour and the clouds were all gone. Funny, right?
Raincoat off, few minutes later, jacket off.
There we were (the three of us) walking, talking, singing. It was perfect. (perfect as in no signal, no phone, no worldly tensions)
The three of us on memory trip. Recalling all the good stuff ever happened to us. Oh God! I'm back there!
So we proceed and reached halfway through there and we met Bablu Bhaia(tea stall guy). Very genuine guy, i knew that it was his bread and butter and yet i couldn't ignore the fact how soft spoken, helpful he was.
We rented tents and sleeping bags from him. ₹800 for a night.
We began again after a short break.
We were at the Kareri Lake around 3'0 clock.
The heavenly beautiful place. We set our tent alongside the lake. Took some rest. Clicked pictures, lot of pictures.
There was a temple, few shops providing the food and other stuff. We ate dinner, met some people, sat there by a bonfire. And in that moment all my worries, insecurities, stress, boom...gone!
And i was feeling different, Good!
We went back to our tent and i remember vividly that we dozed off at 10:35 p.m.
After an hour or so...it started raining, hailstorm, tent started shaking. We got scared. Water somehow entered the tent. The rain didn't stop the entire night went by like that. At that time it was scary real scary, but now when i think about it the most exciting or you can say thrilling part of the whole trek!

We started around 9'o clock and were back by 2 pm.
It takes less time to come down.
Then we came back to Dharamshala. HIMANSHU GALERIA went to Kangra and we took a bus for Chandigarh. We were at Chandigarh at 11 p.m.
