The world is all set to get its deepest swimming pool and it’s opening in Poland this autumn.

The Deepspot diving pool will be 45 metre deep and will be filled with 8,000 cubic metres of water. It will roughly be the equivalent of 27 Olympic-size swimming pools.

The title of deepest swimming pool is currently held by Italy’s Y-40 Deep Joy in Montegrotto Terme which is 42 meters deep.

The new pool is currently under construction and is based in Msxczonówa, a town 40 km southwest of Poland's capital, Warsaw.

If you think the pool is only for deep swimmers then here is good news for you. The pool will have an underwater tunnel for spectators. Besides, there will be training, conference, and hotel rooms with views of the pool.

Deepspot will also have an underwater tunnel so that people can view the divers in action without getting wet.

However, Deepspot will have hand over the title its successor after six months as a 50m-deep pool is set to open in the UK in 2020. Currently under construction, Blue Abyss is being built in Colchester.

Touted as the world’s largest, and deepest, research, training and development pool, Blue Abyss is designed for divers, aerospace communities and marine researchers.
