This dam holds a great legacy of Canada government in India...any guess!!! Yeh, we know that you already read the title... Worth remembering trip - Massanjore dam. So before the summer heat hits West Bengal, we made a quick plan to escape from this hustle bustle life...

We started our journey early in the morning 7 am from our hotel. This trip was an associate trip along with Santiniketan...

Finally, the car wheels start rolling towards the way of Massanjore dam. In between, we took a small breakfast break in a super cool bamboo hotel, Shakuntala Village resort at Sonajhuri forest. We fulfilled our belly with spinach puri, vegetable curry, and pickle. Alongside contented our heart with the essence of foods.

Finally, after completing our breakfast, we headed towards the dam without wasting any time further. The road was smooth with a good stretch of 74km. Moreover, on both side of the road, the mustard field unfurls the beauty of yellow mustard flowers spread all over. After 1 hour of driving, we finally put our foot down at Massanjore Dam.

The Adventure We Experienced:

We took a walk over the dam and it was a mesmerizing moment. Furthermore, the beauty of the flying flock of green parrots and the hills in the background along with burble sound of flowing Mayurakshi river greeted us. We took a walk over the dam and it was a During our visit, the opposite side of the Mayurakshi river was almost dry with small patches of water flowing in between the rocks as the lock gates are almost closed. The winds, blowing very fast and got crashed into our body... We took some photographs and walked all the way from one side to another side...

Though it was an easy route for us but not for our family members. Yet they were a great enthusiast. After completing first half, we took some time to enjoy. We dipped our legs in the water and it was very relaxing. Not to mention, we took some great photographs and ultimately we made our way to the second half.

That was really tough as the rocks are so much uneven and the narrow river dribbled in between the curvy paths of the rocks. We almost took one hour to cross all the rocks and ultimately climbed up with the help of rock cliffs.

The feelings were like we achieved a great memory...
