Day 1

To reach the top of hill stationwe had to cover 32km loop road.It was slightly drizzling and the scenic beauty on the route was mesmerizing.

In this busy rushed life everyone needs a break and sometimes we need time but don't have enough leaves. For people living in Banglore, Yercaud is the best option for a quick, less budget weekend getaway.

Yeracud is one of the beautiful and unexplored hill station of Eastern ghats in Salem district of Tamil Nadu. Being less explored it is less commercialized, you can find nature's beauty untouched by humans. It is around 230 km from Banglore and takes 5 to 6 hours.

We booked a zoom car from Banglore airport, to avoid the busy Banglore's traffic we started around 7 am in morning. We followed the route through Salem as everyone said the route's in better condtion. So we followed the route Bangalore --->Hosur ----> Krishnagiri ---->Dharampuri ---->Salem ---> Yercaud.

We arrived at our destination around 1pm. We had booked a room in La Pepper Springs. You can find very good Homestays, Cottages and resorts in affordable prices.

Next we went to see the Yercaud lake, we did boating there. FYI for those who are taking kids, near to lake is an Anna Park where kids can do zorbing, play in slides and do other adventure activities.

We watched the beautiful sunset at Pagoda point. The place was very serene and calm.We visted the Shevaroy temple, its in a small cave like structre.

Day 2

We retired for the day after having dinner in the restaurant. The temprature was very less and the clouds were floating and we could feel the moisture of clouds on ourface.

The next day we woke up early in the morning and went to Kottachedu Teak Forest and Kiliyur waterfall which hardly seemed like a waterfall ;)

We started our return journey after lunch with lots of good memories and fun.
