In my earlier write up(about Uttrakhand ) ,I told about getting the bus from Katra bus stand .
(december)Winter was at its peak and It was the day before i was set to go on the journey and a Dear Friend called up saying 'i am free today , if u can come up, we can go to Sehar Baba waterfall'
Seha r Baba Waterfall : It is a beautiful place of Baba Sehar, it is situated along the River Chenab and the temple and the waterfall just add to the beauty of the nature so well that it takes your senses to a different world of beautiful experiences .
Location and How to reach: It is in about 35 Km from Katra (Vaishno Devi) .By Local Bus :Get the katra-reasi (Rs. 30-35 ) mini bus and switch the Bus at 'Baradari'.From Baradari, get the bus to 'Talvara' (Rs. 10-15), then its a 15 min walk from there to the waterfall. By Cab: One can easily book a cab to this location and one can also see some more Destinations like (Baba DHANSAR , Sulla Park ) on the way both by bus and cab. If u r running low on time , go for the Cab and if u have one full day in katra or reasi , u can go for the bus also.

I chose to go by the bus and from Katra , switching the buses, i was there at talvara within 60 min and my friend was waiting for me there. Hello and Hii done, we started walking towards the place , and within minutes we found ourselves in a very different environment(the Chenab River and small villages around and rocky mountains and hills ) . Kept walking and stopped at many spots for clicking instagram worthy Pictures .
The road was curvy and Looking down into the gorge with chenab flowing at the bottom was amazing . The sun making Peaks of the mountains shine bright and beauty of nature exposes itself in many ways.
Taking pictures , chatting about the valley , trees and the Mountains, AND we are there. Its winter so, there is just a few people there(in summers, it is crowded) . The waterfall is a beautiful one with water falling down from a quite good height. We first went to the Temple(just adjacent to the waterfall) to seek blessings, and then it was time to jump in....!!! Not thinking about the water temperature , we went into the water and the water was chilled enough to get our feet numb within a minute. what an experience....!!!! unforgettable......!!!!
Spending time there is not difficult bcz the waterfall attracts the soul like a divine power calling it. spent about 2 hours there(more than enough time) and headed back to the road (its right next to the road, just have to cross the parking area), before hitting the road again , had some snacks at the shop outside and went to see the Outlet of the Dam nearby(5 min walk from the waterfall).
Walking back , we found a trail going down the road and the next moment , we or on this trail. The trail lead us to the Bottom of the valley and we touched the mighty Chenab river. The Rafting Crews were there and the winds were making an excellent mesmerizing sound .
Rafting: Rafting Tours can be booked From Baradari Bridge (There are various adventure companies there , do some bargaining there to get a good price)
All seen and enjoyed , my friend left me at Talvara and i again got the bus back to baradari and from baradari to katra.
It was like a very good warm up fro my trip next day.....
