Khardi is a town in Thane district, Maharashtra. It is also a station on the Mumbai Suburban Railway system on the Central line route between Kalyan and Kasara.

It is 1000 ft above sea - level and is a major attraction and favoured destination for people in Mumbai with a hectic life, to spend some time with their family, rest, relax or just enjoy its natural beauty. Khardi offers Multistory Flat projects like Thapar Nagar, Our Town, Highland park, Ajmera group to name a few.
Khardi is a flourishing township which has a national bank, hospital, post office, petrol pump, restaurants, a school, a police station, a Jain Temple, and a market.
It takes nearly 1 Hr 30 Min for one to reach Khardi from Mumbai (CST) & about 45 Min. from Thane Railway Station. Khardi is located on National Highway No.3 one of the prominent 4 lane Highway which connects to nearly 18 Indian States. All the devotees bound for the holy shrine of Shirdi Sai Baba pass from Khardi further enhancing its importance.
Khardi is part of Taluka: Shahapur, (District: Thane) which is surrounded by the Sahyadris and places like Mahuli and Aaja are popular spots for trekking.
My Journey:
This was my first trip with my office colleagues rather than I would say my dear one's. It was a sudden plan actually. So in a month of April which is a spring time basically but in India you know how hot it is, we thought it would be really a nice idea to relieve our stress after a long work days in office.
We really didn't had any idea where to go in this hot summer season, thought to plan trip to Khardi where my farmhouse is Located so that we can plan a 1 day trip in a budget.
We had no idea how we were going to spend our Saturday, but you all know friends make boring trip also a happier and memorable one. I am seriously scared of dogs, yes I am! I had No other option because we know majority wins. So yeah Zorro the pet was in our car and only I know how I managed my day.... But anyways our trip was definitely a memorable one.
Would like to give you one suggestion that Khardi is a place meant for people who love to travel on rainy days with nature. It's a place where you can enjoy have lots of fun with your family and friends. Lot's on waterfall when you will travel by road you guys are gonna have more fun. By road trip is very much fun.
Please don't travel in summer's as it's extremely hot in those places. You can visit dams, farms, greenery and greenery everywhere!! It's just my experience, No matter how many times we travel with family but experience with friends is an unforgettable one. Do travel at least once to enjoy and relax and spend your time from that busy life.
