Due to a cancelled trip to the UK for a Chelsea vs United match, we decided to go to the Maldives for four days, boy I tell you, it is indeed paradise on earth. For those of you who have not visited Maldives, most hotels are located on little islands. We stayed at the Anantara, Maldives which is such a beautiful property so well planned and well thought off, we arrived early morning at 7:30am and were picked up by the hotel and taken in a speed boat to the hotel, which is about 40 mins from the airport. Boy, I tell you the endless shades of blue, the water, the clear skies, we just could not have enough of it. We were greeted in a very traditional Maldivian. As we arrived very early, we had requested for an early check in and the hotel was kind enough to grant our request. Restaurants: they have a very good seafood restaurant, in the same vicinity they also have an Italian cuisine. Just a ferry away will take you to a Thai restaurant situated on the reef with the view of the never ending horizon. In addition they also have a very good breakfast spread which caters to all. Things to do.. The hotel also has a beautiful infinity pool, to laze through the day with a pool bar. You can go kayaking, jet skiing, snorkelling, fishing trips, dolphin trips or just walk around the island and do nothing... You will come back home well rested and energised.
