Sarnath - Buddhist Enlightenment

Sarnath is a place located 10 Km north-east of Varanasi city. Sarnath derives from the sanskrit Saranganatha, which means "Lord of the Deer", the place where the Buddha preached his first sermon and established the Buddhist monastic order.
