Mata Tanot Rai Mandir was shelled during 1971 Indo-Pak War this was depicted in the 1997 Bollywood War Film Border. During the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965, Pakistani Army dropped over 3000 bombs targeting the temple but not even one exploded!
