Italy Tour Packages

Salve, traveller, it’s Italy! Hub of the world’s most fascinating cultural amalgams, intriguing historical sites, mind-blowing art, and exquisite natural beauty, Italy is an inspiration like none other. It not only attracts travellers from across the globe but also artists, architects, engineers, scientists, historians and nature enthusiasts. Italy is also home to two tiny countries — San Marino and Vatican City — with the latter being the smallest in the world! With so much to offer, it’s no surprise that Italy tour packages are some of the most sought after in India and the rest of the world. Once home to the Roman Empire and also the place of origin of the Renaissance, the European wonder is thronged by visitors all around the year, who continue to get fascinated by its beguiling charm.

The grandeur of the popular Rome Colosseum, the ancient ruins of Pompeii, the wine hills of Piedmont, the Greek temples of Sicily, or the awe-striking art galleries of Florence, an Italy tour package is just what every kind of traveller needs once to and keep visiting again. Besides, Italy tour packages offer coastal gems like Cinque Terre, Amalfi, Positano, and Murano, that are famous among travellers for their unique setting, luxurious resorts, and unbelievably dramatic landscapes. You would often find these on the covers of top travel magazines. Italy has more Unesco World Heritage sites than any other country in the world, so be careful while choosing your Italy tour package or you might miss out on something that you have always wanted to experience.

Italy highlights

You’ll find Italy to be too vast when it comes to checking off all the places from your Italy tour package. The streets brim with a rustic charm, that promise to trigger the artist in most travellers. Small as it may seem geographically, the boot-shaped country holds the biggest of surprises for travellers in the form of centuries-old artworks, modern architectural masterpieces, enchanting cultural treasures, and stunning natural wonders.

Italy tour packages offer experiences that you’ll find hard to resist. Visit the beautiful Bay of Naples, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Piazza del Duomo cathedral in Florence, the coastal trails in Sardinia, and the cliff-clinging heavenly settlements of the Amalfi Coast during your stay in Italy. You can even indulge in the thrilling gondola rides in Venice while taking in the bird’s eye view of the city as part of your Italy tour package.

What’s an Italy tour package without a mention of its dazzling cities? Rome, the capital city, is home to some of the world-famous tourist attractions like the Grand Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and an unimaginably beautiful place with a vibe that’s rewardingly contagious.

Milan, on the other hand, attracts visitors because of its chic modern cityscape, unique fashion statement, and impressive artworks from its glorious past. In your Italy tour package, you must also include Venice, a city built on more than 100 islands in a lagoon where you’ll never get stuck in a traffic jam, for there are no roads but a network of canals with palaces in Renaissance or Gothic style architecture on either side.

No matter how long the duration of your trip is, don’t leave Florence out of your Italy tour package. Home to the iconic terracotta-tiled Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and Piazza Duomo, Florence casts magic on travellers, especially the art and history aficionados. After witnessing ancient and modern art in Florence, don’t forget to experience the quiet environs of the Tuscan countryside and the culinary delights of Umbria town, especially if you are booking an Italy honeymoon package to enjoy spending some exclusive time with your better-half. Lastly, the list of highlights of Italian tourism isn’t complete without a visit to Sicily, Bologna, Siena, Pisa, Pompeii, and Ravenna for everyone who’s looking to book an Italy tour package.

Italy Reviews

The romantic city of Venice relies on a series of waterways and canals. This unique city built on mud and sand has spectacular scenery and it’s biggest attraction is the architecture. The most famous places to visit are- Piazza San Marco, St. Mark’s Basilica, St. Mark’s Campanile ( Bell tower), Doge’s Palace, Rialto Bridge and Bridge of Sighs. Venice is always at its busiest and most vibrant in the summer, between the beginning of June and the end of July. This city is surely a true masterpiece of beauty and exquisite architecture.
The capital of Italy is one of the most fascinating cities in Europe since it is filled with as many historical insignias as its modern counterparts. Being the administrative capital of Italy, Milan is also understandably bureaucratic to some extent. What's really enviable here is the beauty of everyday things. The roadside cafes and bars are designed to welcome and not merely swindle. The overall humour is deadpan, but hilarious. It's an outstanding city and a relatively cheap European destination from India.
Free things to do while here: Duomo di Milano is one of the most iconic symbols of Italy; also known as the Milan Cathedral, one can climb up to check out the city view from the top by paying a nominal fee. If you've watched enough Italian cinema, you might have developed preconceived notions about the country – a visit to the tiny old alleyways of Brera will validate your ideas and you can click a thousand Instagram-worthy pictures here. Finally, take a stroll down the most fashionable street in world – Via Montenapoleone; if you are travelling on a budget, it'll obviously be difficult for you to buy anything here, but window shopping will be a treat to your fashion desires.
Where to eat: Here are three cheap but outstanding places to eat in Milan: 1. Macelleria Equina Da Vito at Via Lorenteggio, 2. Piadineria Artigianale Pascoli at Via Niccolo Paganini, 3. Mr. Panozzo at Via Enrico Noe. The first one has gluten-free options available, while the other two have vegetarian as well as vegan options.
Where to stay: Unlike contrary beliefs, one can actually stay in Milan on a budget. Here's one beautiful option to consider.
Roma is what the locals call this city. After coming from Naples, Rome at a glance feels like a museum with beautiful fountains everywhere and clean, bright buildings. The architecture in Rome screams of history, hence art & museum lovers will have a lot to explore here. But I would suggest everyone to explore the little streets which are further away from city center here because the popular monuments are super crowded & touristy and do not give the real essence of this city like instead of Trevi Fountain, visit the smaller fountains at Piazza Navona & Piazza del Popolo (very under-rated). The best part here is, there's clean tap water available everywhere and we didn't find it difficult to quench our thirst at any point during our day out in this city!
When I was flying to Milan I had to literally pinch myself to believe, that I am going to a foreign land all by myself and living my dream.
It was around 11.30 pm when I landed in Milan and divulged myself with some serious pep up talks because I felt a tad bit lost.
Amidst all the battles in my head, I saw a young woman walking towards the train station and befriended her. To my surprise, she was warm and very helpful. She expressed, “I will come with you till the hostel and grab a drink. I am very upset coz my best friend has moved to another city.” And that’s how her melancholy saved me the despair of finding my way.
The walk towards the hostel was fascinating as all I saw around me were stores thriving to get my attention and at the end of the long stretch was the hostel — Ostello Bello.
The moment I set my foot in the hostel, it seemed like I have entered a high-octane resto-pub. The place played electrifying music and I could hear tons of chitter-patter with copious amount of laughter coming from every corner.
Amidst all the initial formalities of checking-in, my eyes were searching for my friend (Sigh! Struggling to remember her name). That’s when Helder (from the front desk) said, “Hey! Your friend just went and left you a kiss,” and I couldn’t do much but smile and thank her from all my heart. The ‘happy’ me chit chatted for a while with everyone before calling it a night.
Italy weather and best time to visit

Owing to the geographic extension of the peninsula and the mountainous internal landscape, the climate of Italy is highly diverse. Conditions on peninsular coastal areas can be very different from the interior's higher ground and valleys, particularly during the winter. If factors like weather and crowds do not affect you, then there is no real best time to book an Italy tour package.

But if you are concerned by the crowd and the weather in Italy during your holiday, then it’s veryimportant that you are aware of the best time to visit Italy before you book yourself an Italy tour package. While tourists keep travelling to different parts of Italy throughout the year, the best time to visit Italy is generally during spring (April–July) and autumn (September–mid-November).

Additionally, you should also keep in mind that travelling to Italy during peak season would mean higher rates for accommodations, increased airfares, and more crowds. So if you want to avoid crowds and still enjoy the experiences offered by your Italy tour package, it would be a better idea to plan a visit to Italy during shoulder season, which is usually during February and early March.

Italy for family, friends and couples

The convenient local transport, safe environment for visitors, tourist-friendly cityscapes, variety of food, and warm locals are other significant reasons why Italy packages are always in demand.

Soaking in the magic of the sea in any of its coastal cities like Cefalù, Amalfi, Positano, Murano is something that’s bound to bring out the child even in adults holidaying with their family and that’s why Italy packages for family are booked throughout the year.

Choosing an Italy tour package is also the perfect solution to your friends never agreeing on a destination. The hub of art and culture, archaic architecture, lakes and mountains, Italy is an absolutely wonderful destination to explore with your gang. Unlike many other European destinations, the attractions that Italy is known for will surely render each one of you with some memorable experiences, whether you are a history lover, nature enthusiast, or a seasoned adventurer.

It’s not news to say that there are few better ways to celebrate love than booking an Italy honeymoon package and going for a holiday in Bel Paese. Local cuisine in Italy

You’d not be getting the best of your Italy tour package unless you indulge in Italian delicacies. Wherever you go in Italy, you’ll have a chance to treat your taste buds to some great dishes. Apart from the world famous pastas and pizzas, the following are some popular local cuisines you must try in Italy:
