Landed in Bangkok in the early hours of Day1 and after a soundly sleep followed by a heavy breakfast at our hotel we took a tuk tuk to explore the nearby attractions. We had an evening engagement ,so we leisurely explored in and around Lumphini. Be careful when your bargaining with the tuk tuk drivers,they are no less swindlers than our 'desi' auto and taxi walas. But once your happy with the rates be ready to enjoy the tuk tuk ride through the busy bustling roads of Bangkok.

Last but not the least, we ended our trip with a bang in Bangkok. Be it the cruise dinner strolling amongst the sky high buildings or the lively street shopping, Bangkok is a place to live life King Size. It has open markets all over the city where you can shop , eat and party - all at one place. While exploring around the city through these night markets I had a taste of Thailand culture. With great memories and a satisfaction of my little exploration , we landed back in India. Thailand’s a shopping paradise, so make sure you don’t lose control! From the many many street markets to the malls and the stores there’s a whole lot to shop for in Thailand and since everything’s so much cheaper than back home, you’re sure to lose control. This was our final day in Bangkok and we only had time till afternoon,morning i went searching for the post office to post some postcards to friends ( who doesnt love to recieve a postcard right!) and then later we decided to visit the biggest mall i.e;MBK mall..Boy..its one huge mall and you can do shopping for any budget. If your here; make sure you visit the Deli supermarket, the bakery as got a lot of mouth watering food,(i love my moms special chicken curry..i still do but this special chicken curry and salads we tried was something definitely out of this world).

However apart from the full moon parties that happen here every month, November holds a special importance for visitors who look forward to witnessing the Loy Krathong Festival which takes place on the November’s full moon to celebrate the beginning of the dry season. Lit lanterns and lotus shaped boats float along the rivers and is a visual treat for all. A couple of hours north of Bangkok, the Monkey Buffet Festival is also celebrated in Lopburi where more than 4000 kgs of fruit and cakes are laid out for the monkeys to eat with music and dance to celebrate. If you are a sports buff, then head further to the island of Phuket to participate in the annual Laguna Phuket Triathlon which is Southeast Asia’s biggest sports event.

After the much needed sleep, the next day we decided to explore the city side of Sukhumvit and the surrounding places by walking and using BTS. I would highly recommend you walk and see bangkok to experience both the high and low side of life,we kept walking in the direction of Earwan Shrine,this particular shrine interestingly is more visited than the other temples.Upon reaching the shrine we came to realize why it was so,people in large number came here to pray and also the traditional temple dance keeps going which is a beautiful thing to see if your into seeing the cultural side of thailand.
