We went to Bir Billing for paragliding in the month of October. It was the day to untick one more off my to-do-list and the murder of one of my fears. The package for paragliding was for Rs.2,500 per person if you wish to take the camera along to shoot yourself amidst the nature else it is for 2,000 bucks. The package includes commuting facilities to the flight point and back. The path amidst the cloud leads you to the top of Bir Billing which was covered with the green lush expanse. As I flew with my parachute, I ventured out into the blizzard. I was heady with the combination of acrophobia. I had seen two failure attempts of flying with their parachute, and the next was my turn. The mountain was my comfortable zone and up there was the fear where lied my freedom. Heart beating at its pace, the fear of what next and then he shouted "run". We ran and was in the air in no time. I was a bird with no wings. I didn't have the nerve to look down and that was exactly my fear. Time to make my head down and give my eyes the bird view. And there were the little mountains, tiny houses ,the small roads perhaps a small world down there. Being up in the air with other parachutes flying around me stifled all the chattering running in my mind and took me to my own fairy world. The camera was a little discomfort but was surely a necessity. He swirled the parachute in air and it was alike roller coaster ride in air .I opened my eyes just once and could witness the circulating sky. Slowly, mist descended down. I savored those 25 minutes of my freedom and solitude. I had my freedom with no fences of boundation in the air. Simultaneously all mountains, roads, houses got bigger with every completion of our landing. He asked me to keep my legs straight at the time of landing as the time came closer to bid adieu to the sky and endow back the mountains, my love after 25 minutes of flight. I landed safely with impressions of my freedom on the ground but was waiting for him to land and the 15 minutes of wait was inexplicably scary. I was gravitating him while he looked like a small bird enrobed with parachute . And his safe landing brought along with him the rejoicing wind and an end to my fears❤
