I am not really sure, may be life would've been really different and better. But what I get to hear from other professional photographers who are full time into photography and who left their jobs, they always say that I took a good decision and did not quit my job. Plus I had my reasons also for not to quitting my job :)
Anchit, I still feel I am not good enough to be in that list when you say "good photographer"
I see so many talented photographers on social media which such an amazing eye.
But i am growing, I won one of the competition pan India in 2013 that is when I started feeling yes I can be a good photographer one day, dn in 2015 I took my own photography tour dn I realised I can earn in photography, in 2016 one of my picture got published in Nat Geo, I felt really good. in 2017 I was one of the finalist in the Nature Photographer of the year by Nat Geo dn I realised I can count myself in international platform, in 2018 I sold my picture to National Geographic so I am growing. :)
Anchit, my focus was only into learning as I was working so I just wanted to learn and practice photography. It is important to focus on the photography only when you're starting your career. If you're good dn you will earn for sure.
Sapna, it depends on person to person, there is many people who wants to get published in the National Geographic once in their life, there are people who want to work with Natgeo, so it is very personal choice about milestone.
Other dn Instagram you can upload pictures on Flickr, 500px and Yourshot (natgeo) they are less interactive but amazing platforms for photographers.
Hello Ashish, you need to have a good portfolio, good amount of photography experience. Good amount of contacts/name, you can later organise photography tours for photographers and earn from it. or you can get in to travel job as well, whenever there is a hiring in any travel magazine (lonely planet etc)

Hello Yatika, before clicking I process in my mind, I always close my eyes (hehe) imagine it n shoot it. I always look for good focus, no distractions in the background and foreground, lovely colors and emotions in the picture
Sandesh, I use to go out almost every day when I started photography. Everyday I used to carry two bags, laptop and camera.
I used to shoot 6-8 am in the morning, leave for the office n reach by 9 am.
at 6-7 pm I used to get back to home and start editing pictures.
Hello Akanksha, I am not really sure if there are jobs for beginners but if you have travel experience, good content you will get many collaborations for travel on social media. Jobs i am not really sure
Always shoot in RAW and Manual mode, learn how to expose a picture, composition you will learn with experience. but once you know the light condition and you know how to expose picture you will always get a good picture.
Midhun, I take my own photography tours, I sell my pictures online, I do commercial shoots as well. I started shooting weddings in 2013, my first project and when i got a good experience I started doing all commercial shoots.
It depends on your budget, I would suggest buy a crop sensor if it is your first camera, if you have crop already dn buy full frame (Nikon D750) Lens you can take good travel photos with kit lens 24-120 as well, you can buy 50mm, 70-200mm in future whenever it is in the budget.

Abhinav, there are no such one place for contests, you need to follow such pages on social media so that you get to know when they have any, Tripoto conduct many such contests. For international contests you can google it and you will get the details of all the international contests
Divyanshu, everyone should have one mentor, look around probably some of your problem is doing good work and you can go out with him and shoot, may be you can make your whole gang who go out n shoot every week, it is important to be in the group. You will feel always good when you're shooting in a group dn when shooting alone.
If you're into wedding, and you know how to click good wedding pictures dn you dont need a job. Wedding photography is good profession for earning as well.
