Hi, Gourav! If you have a valid Indian passport, you need to mention that you wish to visit Faroe Islands besides the obtaining the Schengen visa which is a must to visit Denmark. If you already have a Schengen visa, you can apply for the permit to visit Faroe Islands in Copenhagen from where you can take the flight to Faroe Islands. If you are flying in to the Faroe Islands from any other country apart from Denmark, then you can obtain the visa from the Danish embassy in that country. For getting around in the Faroe Islands, the most popular means of transport are cars, ferries, and buses.

The only place you can obtain the permit is at the border. There are two kinds of permits which are required, entry permit and route permit. Entry Permit can be obtained from the Immigration Office of Royal Government of Bhutan at Phuentsholing, located on Indo-Bhutan border. The nearest airport is the Bagdogra Airport.
