By yourself, through packages you don't really get to experience the place you will be travelling like a tourist and according to me that's the worst thing to do. Just read some blogs and plan the trip yourself.

It depends on your place of interest. If it is mountains or hill stations - Visit Kufri a station above Shimla. Best way to travel: Delhi to Kalka by Train and then Kalka to Shimla by a toy train. ( Himalyan Queen) Book tickets in 2 months advance. If you want to visit plains, they are best in winters. - Go to Khajuraho- Madhya Pradesh. Ajanta or Ellora Caves in Maharashtra, For beach destination plan: Andaman I would not recommend GOA for your honeymoon trip.

If December hill stations will be super chilled and Kashmir will be a little tough choice. Though snowfall there will be awesome if you can bear the cold. Else you can visit Kerala especially it's back waters or You can got Rajasthan.

You should explore Ponda on Bike specially. Weather is awesome now a days. It's a monsoon time. Not at all hot. I have just visited goa last week only. It's raining all day so be prepared with your raincoat.

Based on places you want to visit and spend more time. Wide options are available to book rooms on MMT, airbnb, oyo rooms.. Also, depends on how many ppl are in group. couples and solo - better hotels or resorts. Groups - home stay or apartments. check airbnb. If you are planning in August, I would suggest to rethink to travel.. weather is not so good.

Look for famous beaches where people generally stay....like Canlangute or Baga. If you like to spend a good night life then stay at Panjim. Also decide based on how many people are going and friends or family. If you are going with friends like 7-8 of them then you can also rent an entire apartment. that comes with kitchen and basic cooking stuff....this will save your money.

Well it's depend upon u that which type of hotel property u r booking..if u r a budget traveler then u can save money by staying in hostel instead of costly hotels..and for 2pax I think its 60-70thousand rupees if u do a proper planning
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
It depends on you. your accommodation, mode of transportation will basically vary on cost. If you are a budget traveler and can manage staying in hostel and transport by local transporter then 20k is enough.
