A few years ago, I discovered the term 'digital nomad' and since then I had this fantasy that I'm a travel writer (who clearly has enough finances) and I am sitting and working 'remotely' in some gorgeous cafe in a foreign land.

Well, then came 2020, and while we were not nomads, suddenly everyone was working 'remotely'. It's important to stay safe but now that things have started opening up, I have decided to make the most of it and use my time at home (Aamche Goa) well.

So, I have been making a list of cafes in Goa - that seem like the perfect 'work from' spots for those days where the 'work corner' (or couch) at home just doesn't cut it.

You know what I mean?

1. Cafe Bodega

While not a new spot for me, I have not been to this cute spot for years now. I used to want to go to Bodega with my friends and for a delicious red velvet cupcake! But thanks to Insta, I've been admiring how they have evolved and all I want to do is go sit there with my laptop and get inspired by a plate of Turkish Eggs for my next power-point presentation.

2. Prana Cafe -Ashwem

They are present in both Anjuna and Ashwem, but after having recently been to Prana at Ashwem -I've fallen in love. Not only cause the place is cool, but cause I may just be able to fit in a beach day.

3. G-Shot Coffee Roastery & Cafe

What I miss the most about Mumbai are my weekends in some of my favourite cafes in Bandra. I had even made myself a loyalty cards where possible. But I happened to come across G-Shot in Assagao recently and it introduced me to a much cooler Goa (that I have clearly been missing out on) - and for a person like me who LOVES good coffee. Well, this place is home.

4. Mojigao

The last time I had come to Goa over a weekend (last year) my friend and I visited this boutique property and cafe - and for the last few days I have especially been wishing to find myself with my laptop - probably writing a blog post for Tripoto and enjoying some healthy grub there. There is something about that place that says - 'relax'

5. Elephant Art Cafe

A few weeks ago, I just randomly stumbled upon a photo on Instagram. Well, can you blame me for adding this to my wishlist?

6. Cafe Rasa

This one is not new for me anymore. Being a Panjim girl I was pleasantly surprised to discover that there was actually a good coffee shop in the city. And with actual coffee (not the instant coffee powder mixed with lots of milk). So needless to say, this spot is on my 'work-cafe-cation'

7. MOG- Art Cafe

MOG - or Museum of Goa has been something I have been wanting to visit for years. For many reasons, and now there is one more. In 2021, I look forward to taking my notebook (or laptop) and sitting in this beautiful cafe and hopefully get inspired.

8. Amrapali House

This property has been always there, and I must have crossed it a million times. But one day, I see a post on social media and discover that this place is now a luxury boutique hotel (giving me all sorts of goals of course) and also houses a cute cafe!

(I can imagine you, my reader, just mentally add this to your check list)

9. Cafe La Dida

Reason? A friend of mine just posted about this place and it just looked too cute. Doesn't it?

10. The Mill - Palolem

I don't expect to frequent here. But if I find myself in Palolem any time soon, I really want to find this place. Even from a photo, the place looks so cosy that I cannot help but picture myself getting comfortable here.

These are just 10, but I know, there is so much more for me to discover. The cutest interiors, cosy corners, delicious food, amazing views, and the nicest cups of coffee. Do you have any recommendations? Tell us in the comments below.
