It was indeed on the first day of October 2021, when we kickstarted our goa trip with 7 members together. After visiting Fountainhas at Panjim, we decided to live the night by spending our queer time at a drag karaoke party in Anjuna. But I planned to have a quick sunset view visit at Candolim beach while going from Panjim to Anjuna.
By the time we reached after crossing the evening traffic of around 12 km, we finally arrived at the beach but the sun has already bid a bye for the day and we ended up at the shore in the very late evening. Somehow we managed to witness the last sunset shine before the night took its place on the waves. We played in the sand like kids and walked along the shore by getting engaged in some mature conversations too. It was a great start and I was so adamant about visiting any beach shore to mark our steps in Goa.
After darkness took its charge, we felt exhausted and craving for something to eat to keep our spirits high and we ended up at Tomato's, which was nearer to the shore. We munch on some snacks and hit the shopping. As mentioned earlier, our vacation spirits were high even we became high on booze and hence we ended up shopping for some beach shorts at local vendors. Always remember to put your best bargaining skills upfront while shopping at Candolim beach.
And then we strolled for a while on Candolim beach road and decided to move on to Anjuna and attend the party but we came to know it would start post 9 pm. When everyone looked at me, I came up with one place which is my go-to place ever, and that's Curlies. So, we curled up in our car and headed towards Anjuna.
The route to curlies is a bit rocky and muddy path. So, if you ever drive in a car, make sure you are conscious enough to look on both sides as the roads are narrow and bushes emerge from either side. Then we made a halt at Curlies and ended up ordering beers. Needless to say, Goa trips are mostly about getting sloshed and attending various parties.
That was a Friday night and the crowd was good. We managed to grab a big table. I'm an extrovert and Goa is the place where I met way too many people even on this trip too. My personality never stops me from flirting with bartenders (pun intended) and I ended up doing the same while ordering beers and a crazy large pizza to munch on.
And as usual, when my mallu gang was embracing their time by clicking pictures and talking in Malayalam (which I don't even understand a bit) I already gulped up a beer and roaming with another one with my gay fashionista avatar until I bumped into a sweet girl who asked me for a dance. That was cute as she already introduced me to her boyfriend and I came they were from Delhi. As I lived in South Delhi, I easily got into conversations and forgot my people completely until one of my pals approached me to ask regarding further order.
It was a crazy night and I was being me talking to random people and flirting around with bartenders and waiters like I always do. I mean healthy flirtation lifts people's spirits too. Being a true wanderer, I'm proud to say that I know how to deal with people, especially men! We spent till 9.30 pm over there and I rushed my pals to the drag karaoke part at Hopping Frog of Anjuna.
In Anjuna, all the clubs are nearer as all of them share the same shore and of course, a few of them have private beach shores too. But Hopping from is a cozy beach hut interior club where some of the queer parties get hosted. I know the hosts of Queer Kinara Goa and we came to know that Friday night was all about songs.
Instead of sitting and spending at one place all night, I thought of splitting the time and spending at two different places in the same locality. Nights are always young in Goa. And we entered Hopping Frog and the show hasn't started yet. So, we once more ordered beers. Well, you must know one thing, I didn't let the person who drives our car have a single beer, and as I call him my brother, he was following my orders (poor guy). But he had a small pint that day when I was talking to the drag queen.
And the night went like that over music, drinks, and smokes with crazy loads of conversations even though we couldn't hear each other. We ended up capturing a few videos where I looked no lesser than a disaster. It's always a thing for me. Getting decked up like a diva and ending up like a homeless person after any party is typical of me. Well, that's how we wrapped up the first day at goa though we started in the evening as we were busy settling in the morning and afternoon.
Though a little mess up has happened in between regarding the plans because of other people, I just made sure that wouldn't happen further because I was way more strict to let the plan go according to the itinerary I prepared!
