On second day we headed to Panjim and old Goa. On the way to Panjim we visited Shree Shantadurga Laxmi Narsimha Temple, Cortalim. Then we visited Bambolim Beach. The beach was empty, nobody was there apart from us. We had clicked some photos and collected lots of conch shell. Then we visited Dona Paula, though the jetty is closed but "Singham" fame place is must visit in our iternary.
The lunch at Ritz Classic Restaurant and Bar was just authentic. The Goan Fish Curry Thali is available at resto is just for 266 bucks. The Thali consist of crabs, king fish, tisare, dried fish, typical Goan vegetables, rice and prawns curry. The solkadhi was just superrr.
Then we visited some old and ancient churches such as Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church at Panjim, Se cathedral and Basilica of Bom Jesus at Old Goa.
For sunset we headed to Velsao Beach. Though we missed sunset due to traffic but after reaching beach we amazed with its beauty. It is just serene, an empty beach. We spend some good time over there.
For candle light dinner we went to Colva beach again. Though food here was not best but you get a good experience of candle light date under open sky and on seashore.
On day 3, we woke up early and started our journey to Happening part of Goa- Baga and Calangute. We have got a deal on OYO for 4800 bucks for Hotel Rentona Manor at Arpora junction. After cheked in at hotel we went to search bike on rent. There are lots of options for bike on rent every 100 m in North Goa. We got 4 bikes for four couples at ₹350 each and with extra cost of fuel. After filling petrol, we went to Vagator beach and Chapora fort where "Dil Chahta hai" was shooted. It is not great forts like forts of Maharashtra but just because of film shootings it is on everybody's list.
At evening we went for some shopping in market of Baga and Calangute.
After shopping we went to the very famous Tito's lane for some partying.
We choose to go Cafe Mambos. It is lively nightclub hosting international DJs and live entertainment by a range of performers. The loud music and ambience was solid for party mood. We boozed, danced, eat and repeat till 2 am in the morning.
P.S. - petrol pumps are far away from each other refuel the car/ bike after renting immediately at pump only. Locals also sell petrol but a bit high cost. So to save money search pumps or ask locals.
Though we slept early morning but we woke up at 7 as we have to visit one more beach prior to saying Goodbye to Goa. We went to Anjuna beach. Some foreigners were walking, jogging and dancing for exercise on the beach. We clicked some candids and left for check-out. For return journey we had booked Jan Shatabdi train from Thivim. We were playing Antakshari in train after boarding train at Thivim. As soon as we started singing, a kid and his parents also joined us for Antakshari.
After reaching Kudal, train was full so we have stopped singing and seated at respective place. Then everybody was doozed.....
Earlier also I had visited Goa but this time I got to know why Goa is party capital of India.
It is better to book flight tickets a month earlier to Goa to get better deals. We have booked Vistara flight of early morning and we got a ticket in 2000 bucks only. We thought we would get a self drive car after landing and for instant booking we might get handsome discount, but it was disappointment. After waiting for almost a hour outside airport and negotiating with cab driver, one cab driver took us in place south Goa near Majorda, where we got a Innova for our 2 day sight seeing at RS 5600 for two days. We had already booked a villa in Majorda through OYO. We got a fair deal in just 2800 bucks. Then after check in we went for sight-seeing to nearest beach of Majorda. It was less deserted beach. It is not very quite but still it is not crowded like North Goa beaches.
Then we headed to one of the crowded beach of South Goa - Colva. It is happening beach where you can do watersports and feel some adventures.
