This western state of India never ceases to amaze!

With its diverse topography and a splash of vibrant green cover during monsoon, Maharashtra has a lot more to offer. Known for celebrating “Ganesh Chaturthi” with an opulence that can only be matched with the celebration of Durga Puja in West Bengal, Maharashtra is ready to take “celebrating festivals” to a whole new level by hosting 15 festivals over a period of one year across Maharashtra!! This initiative has been taken by the Maharashtra government in a bid to attract tourists throughout the year.

All these festivals will be celebrated in various religious, cultural and historical places. And here is the calendar of the festivals so that you all can plan your trip around it and make the most of your trip!

1. Mahabaleshwar festival

Date: 27th May – 28th may

2. Fireflies Festival in Bhandardhar

Date: 3rd June – 4th June

3. Tribal Tourism Festival in Javhar

Date: 8th July – 9th July

4. Monsoon Festival at Amboli Sindhudurg and Bhandardara

Date: 12th August – 16th August

5. Prabhu Shriram Mahotsav

Date: 12th August - 13th August

6. Tribal tourism festival in Dhule

Date: 25th August - 27th August

7. Kas Pathar festival

Date: 2nd September – 3rd September

10. Tribal festival in Toranmal
