In this video, I will be visiting Maa Ram Chandi temple located about 4 km from Brajrajnagar and 20 from Jharsuguda city. The Ram Chandi temple is situated inside a natural rock cave on the banks of river IB. . The Goddess Chandi is worshipped here residing in the cave. One can get down to the temple by the iron stairs. And from the temple, one can have a beautiful view of the natural surroundings of the banks of the river Ib.

History of Maa Ram Chandi Temple - History says that Maa Ram Chandi was the mother of Veer Surendra Sai. Veer Surendra Sai used to come from Khinda to Brajrajnagar to worship Goddess Maa Ram Chandi. According to the legend, this temple has been standing here since the era of Lord Rama. Lord Rama and Lakshmana were passing through this temple in search of Maa Sita during Banavas. Then, Maa Ram Chandi was named "Kula Chandi" and she used to kill and eat people and others who used to come or pass through this place. Lord Rama arrived and pacifies her and he enshrined her in the name of Maa Ram Chandi. Since then, this Maa Ram Chandi temple gained fame.
