Alcove Resort

Pratik Gandhi
We've been regular guests at Alcove for the past 7 years and never even once felt the need to look out for alternate options. While there isn't a dearth of options right from accommodation to restaurants in the vicinity, there's always something special about Alcove that keeps pulling us back to them time and again.Alcove is a 3 star resort with a swimming pool and gym and is located at Vagator beach, north goa, which is at distance of 45kms approximately, 1 hour 15 minutes.Rooms are pretty neat and spacious, but the choice of room would purely depend on your budget.Right from Standard rooms to beach cottages and Penthouse to Charlotte, there's something for every pocket at this resort. Prices do vary depending on the time of the year. They are at the peak during the end of the calendar year, as most of the crowd rushes to Goa to celebrate Christmas and New year and you'll experience a gradual decline from there on. Prices are the most economical during June-Sep as Goa experiences heavy monsoons and is considered an off season around this part of the year. The in-house restaurant serves some delicious goan food which is a must try. In addition to that, they have a wide variety of dishes available to suit every palate.Food price is slightly on the higher end, but definitely worth it.The restaurant offers a spectacular view, so it would be worth sipping in some beer while gazing at a gorgeous sunset. The staff is very friendly and highly professional and this is one of the many reasons why Alcove purely remains full at almost all parts of the year.During my most recent trip here, we were offered a package of 3N/4D for 12k INR on a dual occupancy including breakfast. One way cost from the airport - Anywhere between 1700 to 2000 INR for an AC cab.Food cost in the in-house restaurant - Average cost for 2 would be around 1500-1800 per meal.
