The beaches in Daman are mostly black sand beaches and some beaches are full of rocks.  Jampore and Devka beaches have a huge number of tiny shacks that serve mouth watering pakodas , bhel , seafood , rice and curries.  The kitchens of these shacks are clean and hygienic even though they cook a lot of seafood. They hold licenses from the tourism department and are numbered too. I don't remember the shack number I ate at but a lady named Meena owned the shack and cooked is delicious ginger lemon prawns.  Jampore beach also have some beach acitivies like horse riding, camel ride , ATV ride , etc . Daman is also known for its cheap alcohol since it's a union territory and doesn't have taxes , all these shacks serve alcohol for minimal charges and some don't mind if you carry your own alcohol from the wine shop.
Later we headed to Jampore beach. This beach was crowded with people. Not as dirty as Devka, but too many people. There are shacks here which provide booze and food.We left for Mumbai at 6pm and were home by 8.30pm. it was a wonderful experience. Thank god we finished it in a day. Staying there for another day can be avoided. We wish to have a road trip to Diu Islands too in future!
Then we decided to go jampore beach which is most famous among tourists. We reached here at afternoon. It is very clean, flat, sandy beach not rocky like Devka Beach. It is shallow depth beach that's why if you are good swimmer it is for you. You will found many stalls who sells snacks and liquor along side beach. You can also enjoy many activities at beach like parasailing, Dirt bikes, camel ride, boating etc.
Go there and enjoy the eve, in case still you want to do more then there are many attractions around the beach like horse riding, camel riding, quad biking etc, and also boat rides are also given. small food stalls are also available
Relatively quieter and cleaner than Devka beach. This is a black sand beach and another good place to catch the sunset.
