Next we went to Gyuto monastery, it was very huge, spacious and calm there. From there the entire mountain range is visible. The place gave very positive vibes soothing our troubled mind.
After early breakfast we set out to explore Dharamshala on bike. The place is covered in the glory of nature and Buddhist culture. On the way down (from Mc.Leodganj to Dharamshala), we found Army cantonment and a war memorial. The magnificent Dhauladhar range kept us company. The first place we stopped was Gyuto Monastery. The entrance to the monastery was splendid. Dedicated to handing down the teachings of its founder, this place gives glimpse into Buddhism philosophy and Tantric meditation.
A peaceful Monastery with very friendly monks and the view from the balcony is breathtaking
This is home to monks and His Holiness the 17th Karmapa.
Nearby to Norbulinka, there is another Monastery that is a must visit. Gyuto is on same levels in terms of beauty compared to the summer retreat of Dalai Lama
