adalaj vav

This is nothing less than an architectural marvel that can be found 15 kilometres away from the capital of Gujarat along the National Highway. The Adalaj Vav is a step well that is known for its great design and one needs to descend down a flight of steps in order to reach the water level. The well was built by Queen Rudabai in the year 1499 and it runs pretty deep. The main part of the well is five storey’s deep and the walls leading down are carved with intricate designs and motifs. This is one spot you simply cannot afford to miss when in Gujarat.
Bhushavali
Vav in Gujarati means Step well. This was built by Ruda, wife of Vaghela chief Virasimha in 1498. Its an oblong well with has entrance at south and steps from south to north. These are tiny little relief sculptures that you'll have to try hard to find among the floral and heavily ornate designs.
