Also known as the Ajwa Nimeta Fountain Park, this was a beautiful park built by Sayajirao Gaekwad III in the early parts of the 20th century. Ajwa is the name of a reservoir and lake and Nimeta is a water plant here and thus the name of the park is such due to its location beside the lake. This park is a tourist's delight mainly because of the dancing fountain shows in the evening. Since the fountain shows are only held after it is evening, you should plan your trip around afternoon and first start with a tour of the reservoir area as well as the plant. Tour of the plant however needs prior approval of authorities but the process is not very complicated. After this you can make yourself comfortable around the fountains and see the fountain dance with a bright and beautiful color play. The sprinkling waters of the fountains cools the whole environment after a day of humidity, which is common in all places of Gujarat.
