Mappila Bay

Comes after the beaches, this is a natural harbour separated from the Kannur or St. Angelo's Fort. The Arakkal Palace is another place to visit. Both of these are the evidences of Portuguese conquests but are now completely deserted. The Arakkal Palace belonged to the Ali Raja Royal family which is till now the only native royal family pf Kerala. The palace is still owned by the royal family and is now turned into a museum which is open to the public for a nominal entry fee. Other than that this place is also good for picnics and as a watch point from where you can enjoy awesome views.
