pandavan para

Pandavan Para is a legendary Hindu temple perched on a hilltop in Chengannur town, dedicated to the 5 pandavas from the Indian epic Mahabharata. It is believed that this is the place where pandavas took refuge during their exile. Interesting rock structures including the rock where Bhima reclined, his giant footsteps, and five chairs carved out of rocks for each of the Pandavas. There is a pool nearby which never goes dry and a couple of rocks which are balanced precariously on their slim bases. The hilltop offers amazingly scenic views of the surrounding region.
