Kohima Zoo

The capital city of Nagaland, this lies on the North- Eastern border of India sharing boundaries with the neighbouring country of Burma. Tucked in the Himalayan Ranges, Kohima is filled with natural beauty and a pleasant climate throughout the year. Unlike many parts of the state, Kohima is much developed and is not filled with tribal people who are still untouched by the modern civilization. There are museums and art galleries in Kohima and this is one of the most visited places in the whole state. The main occupation here is agriculture and this is also the maximum contributor towards the state's economy. Government and other jobs make for the rest of the population of this city. The city is at a height of about 1500 m above sea level.
